The problem is that there are several possibilities for why you developed a mental condition such as AVPD.

It is impossible to pinpoint any one thing as the cause. It is more likely that it is a combination of issues.

There Are Several Possibilities

dna

Genetics

If you have AVPD, or another mental condition, there is a very good chance that someone else in your family has it as well.

Genetics are amazing. Your genes cause you to pass on lots of good things like your eye color, your hair color, your height, and much more.

Unfortunately, your genes also pass on a lot of things that we would prefer they didn't, such as:

  • being a picky eater;
  • being more likely to develop addictive behaviors;
  • a stronger or lesser Sexual appetite;
  • being susceptible to diseases;
  • even mental conditions

diet

Diet

A lot of studies have been done on the importance of nutrition and the brain.

In order for the brain to develop properly, it must receive the nutrition that it needs.

If it does not get the needed nutrition, then just like a car's engine that lacks oil or fuel, your brain might not develop properly.

If your brain does not develop properly, then it won't function properly.

A good analogy would be a computer. Computers only know what we tell them. If the person programming the computer leaves out an important instruction, then sooner or later, the computer is going to develop issues and fail.

It is critical that you feed your brain properly. If your diet consists mainly of meat and potatoes, then you are going to need a quality vitamin supplement to give you the rest of what your brain requires.

run

Exercise

Exercise is important for a lot of reasons. It will affect your body and your mind . If you don't exercise, get up off your butt and start.

Even 30 minutes a day will make a huge difference towards your brain starting to function better.

truma

Severe Trauma

Avoidant Personality can be like a time bomb or disease that you carry. Most people that have AVPD had a traumatic experience which triggered it.

When the mind encountered the trauma, the AVPD came into full bloom.

In other cases, the brain reacted to the trauma and what was a Normal person developed into the Avoidant.

There are also other theories as well about how AVPD Develops.

Lack of Socialization as a Child

Another thing that can cause Avoidant Personality lacking social skills as a child.

Our educational years are much more than just a time where we learn our ABC's and 123's.

The main thing we learn are social skills. We learn how to cope with bullies, with problems, and with issues both in our lives and in the lives from others.

If a child is deprived of a social environment, they will likely have problems socializing when they get older.

While this may or may not develop into something as serious as AVPD, it is a contributing factor.

nutrients

Phasellus dignissim imperdiet pellentesque. Praesent ullamcorper vel tellus at accumsan. Praesent dictum, orci sed eleifend eleifend sagittis purus.

drug

Drug Abuse

Most people don't seem to want to say it these days, but we will:

"Drugs are bad."

Do you remember those old anti-drug commercials that showed an egg sizzling in a frying pan? (Click here watch it.)

The point is that doing something stupid like using mind-altering substances may cause it to short circuit.

If you do drugs, or did, this can cause mental issues.

Spiritual Life

A good spiritual life of meditation, prayer, and looking to God for comfort and help is beneficial in lots and lots of ways.

We are spiritual beings and we need to be connected to something more powerful than ourselves.
